According to the website that sells the badges and shirts and stuff, the proceeds of that aren't to go to the building of the city but to "help the III Percent achieve our political goals: Restore the Constitution and repeal NFA & GCA '68." I don't believe these political goals are mentioned on the original site. I thought they were just going to build a hole so they could hide away from the rest of the world, but now they're getting politically active?
Diverting funds from the city to get into the financial black hole of politics. So you people who will soon be paying a quarter of your rent just because you're applications weren't refused? You will never, ever have a place to move into.
I'm wondering if that was the endgame all along. Get a bunch of suckers to fund some kind of lobby organization.
The site has three images of great examples of American defiance. The first is the declaration of indepenence. The third is Thomas Jefferson, who I would have though would be slotted under the declaration of independence, but I wouldn't know. The third, get this, is the Confederation flag. Representing the states that wanted to keep their slaves.
Yeah, no racists. They don't have to say 'no blacks allowed.' They can fly that flag and make damn sure no black people want to move in.
Also, all the gear is damn ugly and it looks cheap.
Really, I wish I would currently in university studying sociology or something. I'd love to do a thesis about this.

ETA: Also, they're asking people to be patient about the delivery of the hoodies, because the order is "big" and "complex", "with many variations." I don't know if the customers have actually paid for their orders or not, but still, another delay. |

Why am I not surprised. One thing that I think is going to be interesting is that Ted Nugent is going to be at the State of the Union speech tonight. That dude really needs some meds or something, and they need to take the microphone away from him. | |
